PRIVACY POLICY & ARRIVAL
Polished Nails & Hair courtesies ensure satisfactory and fair services for our treasured customers. We kindly request that all guests honor them. For the comfort and relaxation of other guests, please limit phone calls to emergencies only.
We invite you to use our complimentary Wi-Fi to surf the web and ask that you use headphones when listening to sound. Do not use the speakerphone. Thank you! We love children, friends, and family. However, for your safety and the relaxation of all guests, we ask that you stay seated in our reception area during your visit.
Only guests receiving services are allowed in the service areas. We kindly ask that all guests keep all conversations to a whisper instead of disrupting our other clients. Your appointments are essential to the team members of Polished Nails & Hair and us. Dates are reserved, especially for you.
We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary, so we respectfully request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations and appointment changes. We Do Not accept appointments for polish changes, nail takeoffs, nail repairs, lip waxes, or brow waxes. While reservations are recommended, walk-ins are always welcome for in-salon services.
Please call (410) 624-5973. Outside nail supplies, including polish, dipping powder, chrome, tools, lotion, etc., are welcome, but charges remain the same.
SANITATION
All our staff will have their temperature checked before each shift. They must go home if they have a fever or show signs of illness.
• We allow 15 minutes between appointments to sanitize and thoroughly disinfect the workstation and treatment room. This is done before and after each appointment and with products that specifically disinfect Covid-19 (Coronavirus).
• Salon staff requirement of face mask-wearing gloves. All staff will change gloves and wash hands between each guest. We adhere to strict guidelines for sanitation and sterilization. After each use, all metal implements are sterilized and placed in asealed pouch.
Proper sanitation, safety, and hygiene are paramount at POLISHED NAILS & HAIR. For your and our staff's protection, liners are used for all pedicure services. Files, buffers, pumice bars, toe separators, and flip-flops are all disposable.
GIFT CARDS & PROMOTIONS
A gift card must be presented at the time of service. Gift cards are available in any amount. We will mail your gift card to the address you provide when you purchase it at checkout. All sales are final! If you cannot perform the gift card, an alternative form of payment will be required.
Polished Nails & Hair is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift cards. Polished Nails & Hair Gift Card is non-refundable and is not redeemable for cash. Promotional discounts and coupons may not be combined. Additionally, we are not responsible for and may refuse to honor lost or expired coupons or gift cards.
CHILDREN SAFETY
We love to do children's nails! However, unattended children in the salon are disruptive and dangerous. Due to insurance liability, hazardous chemicals, products, and sharp implements within the salon environment are harmful if ingested or applied to unprotected skin. If you have children not receiving nail services, please DO NOT bring minor children to your appointment!
We cannot assure their safety in a professional environment. We do not have the facilities to care for children. ALWAYS supervise your child after they receive the service. YOUR UNDERSTANDING IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!
PAYMENTS & GRATUITIES
We accept cash and all major credit cards, including MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and Polished Nails & Hair's Gift Card. Personal checks are prohibited, and we do not give cash back on credit card charges. Gratuities are not included in our service prices or gift cards.
For your convenience, we accept gratuity payments in cash or Venmo during check-out. Our computer tracks each tip left with payment, so you can be sure your service provider gets your gratuity.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS & PET
Please leave all valuables at home. Polished Nails & Hair is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced items. Otherwise, keep your valuables by your side at all times. Please be extra careful when handling polishes. The State Board of Cosmetology and the Board of Consumer Affairs have specific
Rules and Regulations stating that no animals are allowed in a salon at any time. Serve animals are exempt from this policy as they are trained to accompany individuals with disabilities or impairments.
RESPECT
Profanity, racial or sexual slurs, or disrespectful speech or behavior of any kind will never be tolerated. Polished Nails & Hair's staff and management respect all of our guests; everyone is welcome. We do not discriminate or tolerate discrimination based on race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, ability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, height, weight, or age.
Our professional staff reserves the right to refuse service/treatment or end a session if the client puts them in an uncomfortable situation, deems the environment or condition unsafe or unsanitary, or if the spa professional feels they are in imminent danger. We also reserve the right to refuse service if any of the following apply: Overconsumption of alcohol and other substances.
Broken skin and lesions. Any severe or contagious medical conditions not mentioned at the time of 'reservation Misconduct, including but not limited to sexual advances, solicitation, and suggestive comments.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION
Polished Nails & Hair must refuse service to anyone with any infectious foot, hand, or skin disease. Our nail technician shall not perform services on a client if the nail technician has reason to believe the client has an unhealthy condition; an infectious disease; contagious condition; skin or nail tissue that is inflamed, infected, broken, raised or swollen;
or an open wound, ingrown toenail or sore in the area affected. (*We are not permitted to cut/remove living tissues or ingrown toenails as these practices fall under surgical procedures.) We have the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. This includes, butis not limited to, drug use, alcohol use, sexual comments or remarks, or any behavior that we feel is inappropriate.
It is important to us that we maintain a safe atmosphere for both our employees and our clients. Please notify us before booking your treatments if you have high blood pressure, allergies, other physical ailments, disabilities, or are pregnant. If you have any concerns, please let us know. If you experience discomfort during your services, please alert your service provider immediately.
SATISFACTION
Of course, all of our technicians are awesome, and we are confident that you will love the services you receive here. However, if you are dissatisfied, we will gladly adjust the service within three days of the original appointment at no additional charge.
If you are not satisfied with the service you have received, please notify us immediately. We want to redo the service before you depart from the salon. We do not offer refunds on services!
